The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by man inspired by God. Therefore, God is truly its author. Salvation and a relationship with God is its end. Truth, without error, is its essence. It reveals the salvation of God through Jesus Christ for all men, women, and children, and therefore shall remain to the end of the world. It reveals the true basis for Christian living and the standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions are to be measured.

The True God

There is ONE living and true God, the eternally self-existent, and self-revealed I AM (Exodus 3:14), the creator and supreme ruler of heaven and earth, inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love. In the unity of His being, the three persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one in perfection, having united, through distinct offices in the great work of the redemption of humankind.

The Fall of Humankind

Genesis 1:27 teaches God created male and female in His own image. They were created to share His life, love, and purpose. They were of infinite value to Him. They were to trust and obey His word, but they chose to disbelieve and disobey it and that opened the door to deterioration and death. They were separated from God and came under the dominion of Satan, whom they obeyed. The seed of distrust and disobedience was bred into all their descendents.

Salvation

The salvation of all people is by grace alone, through Jesus Christ, who assumed our nature, yet without sin, then, He endured the judgement of our sins when He died on the cross, and through His resurrection, justified us and restored us to God as though we had never sinned. He now lives as Savior, Lord, Mediator, and High Priest, representing us at the right hand of God.

The New Birth

The new birth is a miracle experienced by one who receives Jesus Christ, believing what He did for them personally at the cross, and in His resurrection. They receive eternal life and restoration to the nature and life of God.

Repentance

Repentance is a personal act, prompted by the working of the Holy Spirit, by which a change of mind and of will is effected in those who have heard 'the gospel'. There is an inner resolve to turn away from sins and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith

Faith is accepting the word of God as 'truth'. It is believing with the heart. 'Without faith it is impossible to please Him' (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is what God requires of man. Yet, knowing man's condition of unbelief, faith comes to man's heart by hearing the word of God. Therefore, even faith, is the grace of God.

Justification and Reconciliation

Justification is being declared righteous as a result of believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection completely dealt with sin and restores a right relationship with God. Reconciliation is being restored to God as friend, partner, son or daughter through the death of Jesus.

Christian Baptism

Those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord obey His command to be baptized in water by bodily immersion. This is an outward sign of an inward work, and symbolizes the old sinful person buried with Christ in death and the new person emerging with Him in resurrection life to live unto God.

Sanctification

A work of the Holy Spirit in cooperation with our obedience, whereby the work of the cross is applied to our thinking, feelings, ways and doings and we are turned away from sin and set apart to Jesus Christ and the Father.

Evangelism and the Holy Spirit

The Lord Jesus commissioned His followers to preach the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit, and He would be with believers in the fulfillment of this commission, until the end of the age. Through the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the believer receives power to proclaim the gospel. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are God's bearing witness to the gospel and also for the profiting of the body of Christ. The preaching of the gospel, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, and the gifts of the Spirit will continue until the end of the age, when we see Him face to face.

The Body of Christ

The Body of Christ, although comprised of many individuals world-wide and in many denominations, are those who are born-again and joined to Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, and are therefore members one of another. They are being prepared to meet Jesus Christ as the 'bride of Christ without spot or wrinkle'. The fellowship of this body is in 'being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace' (Ephesians 4:3), and in the fact that 'there is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all'.

The Lord's Supper

Consists of believers partaking of the bread and the cup (grape juice) as symbols of the body and blood of the Lord Jesus, and sharing in the benefits which Christ purchased for us in His death. This is a remembrance of the death of the Lord Jesus for us.

Divine Healing

As God revealed Himself under the Old Covenant, 'I am the LORD your healer' (Exodus 15:26), we see Him revealed the same through His Son, Jesus Christ throughout His ministry. As the risen Christ commissioned His disciples, He commanded concerning believers 'they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover' and 'the works that I do shall he do also.' Also James, in his epistle, instructs believers who are sick to receive the 'prayer of faith' by the elders of the church for the healing of the sick. We see the Holy Spirit continuing the ministry of Christ through the church until He returns.

The Return of the Lord Jesus and Final Things

The Lord Jesus Christ will visibly return. The present world will come to an end in destruction, there will be a resurrection and judgment of the righteous and the wicked and a new heavens and a new earth will be created by God, wherein will dwell righteousness.

"For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to all men." -Titus 2:11
